How to reach us

By Metro (underground)

• MM1 – RED LINE: get off at the SESTO MARELLI stop, then walk down via Fiume and keep going along on via Porto Corsini, go over the bridge and on your right you will find a pedestrian walkway that will take you to Viale Sarca, 50 meters ahead on your left you will find the U14 building.
• MM2 – GREEN LINE: get off at the CENTRALE stop and take BUS 87 (get off at the Via Sesto S. Giovanni – Via Porto Corsini stop), follow the directions below for BUS 87
• MM3 – YELLOW LINE: get off at the ZARA stop and take TRAM 31 (get off at the Via Bignami stop), follow the directions below for TRAM 31
• MM5 – PURPLE LINE: get off at the BIGNAMI stop

Tickets must be bought before boarding and can be bought from newspaper stands and at metro stations.
Tickets must be stamped immediately or you run the risk of a heavy fine. They are valid for 75 minutes so you can change buses or trams.

Above Ground Transportation

• SHUTTLE “ECO-BUS BICOCCA”: free transportation service for all students and faculty who need to go around the Campus (timetables and informations are available here).
• TRAM 31: get off in Via Bignami stop, walk along Via Bignami, cross Viale Sarca and pass the gate with the inscription “BREDA”, 300 meters ahead, on your right, will find the U14 building.
• BUS 42: get off in Viale Suzzani – Via Ponale stop, walk along Via Thomas Mann, turn on the left and go on Viale Fulvio Testi, at the first pedestrian crossing cross Viale Fulvio Testi and go on Via Bignami, follow the directions as indicated above for TRAM 31
• BUS 51: get off in Via Sesto S. Giovanni – Via Porto Corsini stop, you will find a pedestrian walkway that will take you to Viale Sarca, 50 meters ahead on your left you will find the U14 building.
• BUS 53: get off in Sesto Marelli M1 stop, walk and follow the directions as indicated above for MM1
• BUS 81: get off in Via Sesto S. Giovanni – Via Porto Corsini stop, walk and follow the directions as indicated above for BUS 51
• BUS 87: get off in Via Sesto S. Giovanni – Via Porto Corsini stop, walk and follow the directions as indicated above for BUS 51

By Train

The University of Milano in Bicocca can be reached from the Greco Train Station (MILANO GRECO) which has a stop on the suburban route S9 which connects from the stations of Lambrate, Porta Romana, S.Cristoforo, Sesto San Giovanni and Monza. It is also possible to use the regional trains which stop at the Greco Train Station.
The trains to look for go to Como, Lecco, Lecco via Molteno, Bergamo via Carnate and Monza.

Leaving the Central Train Station (STAZIONE CENTRALE) and staying on the right on Via Sammartini, you will see the main bus stop for BUS 87 (fastest), 81 and 42, all of them stop near U14 building.
The suburban orange double buses to “Cinisello-S.Eusebio” or “Cusano-via Sormani” stop near the University.

By Plane

If you arrive at the Linate Airport you can take a taxi or bus 73 which stops at Piazza S.Babila where there is a Red Line MM1 metro stop. Take the MM1 in direction of Sesto F.S., get off at SESTO MARELLI stop, and then follow the directions above for MM1

If you arrive at the Malpensa Airport you can take a taxi or buses Malpensa Shuttle, Autostradale or Caronte, all of them have main bus stop at the Central Train Station (leaving from Malpensa every 20 minutes and arriving at Central Train Station in about 60 minutes, delays might occur due to traffic), or the Ferrovie Nord trains to Milan Cadorna Station (leaving from Malpensa every 30 minutes and arriving at Cadorna in about 40 minutes). Then take the Green Line MM2 in the direction of Cascina Gobba, Cologno or Gessate, get off at the Central Train Station and follow the directions as indicated above for Central Train Station.

If you arrive at the Orio al Serio Airport you can take a taxi or buses Orio Shuttle or Autostradale, both of them have main bus stop at the Central Train Station (leaving from Orio every 30 minutes and arriving at Central Train Station in about 60 minutes, delays might occur due to traffic), follow the directions as indicated above for Central Train Station.
