Biography

Simone Zini is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Informatics, Systems and Communication (DISCo) of the University of Milano-Bicocca. He obtained his Bachelor Degree and Master Degree in Computer Science at University of Milano-Bicocca (Italy), respectively in 2015 and 2018, focusing on image processing and enhancement. In 2018 he worked in Tokyo, Japan, at NEC Corporation as a research intern, on the topic of Image denoising and enhancement, and obtained a research grant at the Imaging and Vision Laboratory of the University of Milano-Bicocca. He obtained his Ph.D. in 2022 at the University of Milano – Bicocca (Italy), where he is currently employed as assistant professor, after two years as post-doctoral researcher at National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN). His main topics of research are machine learning, image and signal processing and enhancement, computational photography and remote sensing . He is currently working on the AdvaNced Technologies for HumancentrEd Medicine (ANTEHM) project.
